Job Description

This position will take place at one of our 30 locations.


The Sales Intern will be responsible for assisting the Sales Department with projects, research,
data collection, invoices, reporting sales, and other duties.  


Essential Functions  

• Help the sales department with set up, implementation, of all dealer-marketing events. 

• Accompany sales team members on customer visits.  

• Assist with any special projects, research, data collection, and sales reporting.  

Other Functions  

  • Assist with inventory 
  • Assist with other duties assigned and directed by corporate management within the framework of Murphy Tractor and Equipment       Company, Inc.’s objectives. 


• Intermediate computer skills including MS Windows, Word, and Excel  

  • Knowledge of office machines, including copier, fax and printer. 

• Must be able to meet commitments and deadlines. 

• Stays focused under pressure. 

• Completes required documentation and reports in a timely manner. 

• Skilled at using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. 

• Demonstrates positive work ethic.

Physical Requirements and Work Schedule  

Employee must be able to do occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. 

Education/Work Experience  

Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college with an emphasis on Business, Construction Management, Agriculture Mechanization, or Agriculture business/marketing. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
