RDO Equipment Co. is seeking an energetic, driven individual who is passionate about selling and building customers for life. The International Account Manager will be focused on establishing and developing Central and Latin American markets for agricultural and construction equipment sales.  The individual will be responsible for every aspect of international sales operations including building customer loyalty, managing shipping logistics, collecting payments and prospecting for new opportunities.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Develop international customers with the focus on Central and Latin America.
  • Work with US Commercial Service and Trade offices on establishing contacts.
  • Attend farm shows, trade events and trade missions.
  • Visit customers’ sites to assess their equipment needs and follow-up on sales.
  • Respond to trade leads coming from RDO marketing and advertising.
  • Locate equipment and prepare sales proposals.
  • Coordinate the shipping of equipment and parts to Central and Latin America.
  • Collect payments from international customers.
  • Coordinate and host visiting VIP customers.
  • Coordinate Central and Latin America advertising and marketing.
  • Continue to maintain established international customer base.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of working in Central and Latin American markets.
  • Strong Spanish language skills required.
  • Export shipping experience preferred.
  • Experience in agriculture and/or construction equipment required. 
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated client service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships.
  • Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Travel required.
