This position is responsible for the welding of production parts in a controlled robotic welding cell.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a robotic welding cell
- Setup fixtures and welder according to the Parts Control Plan
- Lifts and loads parts per instructions
- Observes machine operation, supplies, and position of work pieces to detect malfunctions or misaligned parts
- Inspects joined components for defects/non-conformance
- Effectively stock parts at work station as needed
- Cleans machine and work area during and after production
- Assists in analyzing and resolving work problems
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Other duties as assigned
