The Travel Consultant - Bilingual serves as an active team member on a small team tasked with managing the travel needs of over 3,000 employees, and is responsible for all travel related booking activities for employees in locations where Brandt operates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning and booking transportation, accommodations and other travel services on a Global Distribution System
- Working with primarily Brandt employees to determine their needs and advise them regarding modes of transportation, travel dates, costs and accommodations
- Providing relevant information regarding trips with special attention to accuracy and thoroughness
- Providing a high level of customized corporate services to a variety of clients
- Planning itineraries and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients
- Researching and providing solutions to customer travel-related issues
- Making alternative booking arrangements if changes arise before or during a trip
- Providing advice on required documentation, passports, visas, insurance, etc.
- Providing updates related to local weather conditions, customs changes and attractions
- Maintaining accurate records, collecting invoices and reconciling corporate credit card or cheque payment transactions
- Other duties as assigned
