Job Description

The Supply Planning Mgr is the owner of the planned order forecast and will co-lead the planning and consensus demand planning process alongside the Demand Planner, working closely with cross-functional departments to provide insight, analytics, and guidance for optimal decision making for manufacturing operations. This position will help the business by modeling inventory requirements for future product demand, analyzing inventory placement, and balancing level of service versus cost of holding inventory. The Supply Planning Mgr has the added accountabilities of serving as the Supply planning subject matter expert representing Manufacturing, owning the processes and procedures that will drive a S&OP process between Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, and Traffic, and overseeing Master Data related to Supply Chain, including product lifecycle management (PLM). By effectively leveraging historical data, dynamic market trends, and qualitative input, this role will help inform leadership to make strategic decisions to help propel the business.  The position's primary focus is to ensure inventory supply meets the needs of the demand forecast with a focus on timeliness, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 



  • Managing team of Material Planners working closely with plant IMM’s, OM’s, and Order Desk

  • Leading and participating in monthly S&OP Consensus forecast meetings with Demand Planning

  • Conducting daily/weekly production planning with manufacturing plant and Traffic

  • Accountable for managing inventory system parameters, with input from Inventory Analyst, and ensuring we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time

  • Developing and maintaining inventory projection models by plant, based on industry trends and demand patterns, and providing updates to senior management and inventory teams on a regular basis

  • Performing root-cause-analysis of supply-related issues and providing counsel for resolutions

  • Proposing and implementing solutions to improve inbound/outbound and planned orders forecast accuracy

  • Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities

  • Successfully communicating forecast and inventory estimations to senior management.

  • Monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies

  • Responding to ad hoc demand-related issues.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Previous experience in advanced planning systems, data analysis or other related role

  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.

  • Experience in analyzing and modeling impact of inventory strategies.

  • Experience in cross-department collaboration

  • Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and develop exception-based management tools.

  • Advanced ability to present pricing analysis reports to relevant stakeholders.

  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
