The history of James River Equipment dates back to 1926 when Rudolph Romer opened his first John Deere Dealership in Holly, Colorado. In 1977, the Romers made the decision to expand eastward and purchased four construction and forestry dealerships in Virginia which were combined to form James River Equipment. Since 2001, James River Equipment has added on average one new location and one new partner per year. The mission of James River Equipment is to provide values to our customers, do it profitably and ethically, do it for the long term and have fun while doing it! James River Equipment is currently seeking a qualified Shop Technician for our New Bern location. Job Responsibilities: 


Performs diagnostic on equipment to determine what repairs are needed 


Repairs small and large engine equipment as directed 


Actively participates in all job-related training and development 


Stays current with industry knowledge & products 


Ability to follow safety rules and regulations while completing work tasks 


Job Requirements: 


Minimum 1 to 3 yrs experience with repair & diagnostics of equipment 


Hydraulic, electrical troubleshooting skills 


Knowledge of procedures, materials, tools & techniques used to repair equipment 


Ability to lift / push up to 50 lbs 


High School Diploma or GED equivalent and ability to pass a drug screen
