 Murphy Tractor &Equipment Company, Inc. is one of John Deere’s largest construction equipmentdealers with more than two-dozen locations across six states.  We are in need of professional, knowledgeableand reliable Student Shop Maintenance Technicians. In this interactive andlucrative role, you will learn to work on some of John Deere’s most excitingequipment – performing diagnostic tests and determining what repairs arenecessary to get these state-of-the-art machines running again for ourcustomers!

We are seeking Studentswho are passionate about working with their hands as well as with ourcustomers! You must be self-motivated and driven in this role. You will learnthe knowledge of the materials, tools and techniques used in the repair ofheavy construction equipment. Job Responsibilities

As a Student ShopMaintenance Technician, you will be an apprentice and learn to perform alllevels of repair and preventative maintenance on malfunctioning vehicles andheavy equipment. You will also establish and maintain healthy relationshipswith customers, making sure to always deliver repairs on schedule.

Additionalresponsibilities for the Student Shop Maintenance Technician include learningto:

• Repair or replacedamaged or worn parts
• Test recently repairedmechanical products
• Prepare reports andforms required in conjunction with work orders
• Maintain currentknowledge of Company and competitor products
• Keep company vehicles,inventory, tools and other equipment in good condition
• Read and understandoperating manuals as well as electrical and hydraulic schematics

Job Requirements

As a Student ShopMaintenance Technician for Murphy Tractor, you will learn to be well-versed indiagnostic procedures and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics..Furthermore, because this is a customer-facing position, you must have greatinterpersonal communication and customer-service skills.

Additionalrequirements of the Student Shop Maintenance Technician includes:

• Possess a High SchoolDiploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50pounds regularly and stand for an extended period of time
• Basic computer skillsand willingness to learn more
