Job Details, Major Responsibilities, and Duties

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operates the wash bay including washing and detailing equipment.
  • Performs grounds maintenance such as mowing and trimming lawns and hedges, and cleaning snow from sidewalks.
  • Keeps all areas of the sales and service lot organized and clean.
  • Assists in moving displays or equipment within the dealership.
  • Occasionally operates a forklift to transport parts, equipment, and supplies for the dealership.
  • Completes general maintenance of the building when necessary.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no primary supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications, Physical Demands, and Work Environment

General Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures
  • Ability to perform multiple duties as assigned
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Forklift license preferred

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.  The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock, moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
