Purpose
Sells new and used lawn and garden equipment and utility tractors to customers with internal and external sales calls.
Responsibilities
Sells equipment in a fast-paced sales environment
Completes sales process including generating purchase orders, quotes and work orders
Understands and assists customers with financing as needed
Represents the dealership at events outside the dealership as needed
Safely and correctly loads, unloads and delivers equipment to customers as needed
Completes training required for the development of skills and knowledge
Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Works cooperatively in a team environment
Demonstrates a good work ethic
Employs good time management skills and the ability to work independently
Exhibits a constant commitment to customer service
Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups
Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
1+ years equipment sales experience preferred
Experience connecting with customers and establishing rapport
Abie to maintain a professional image
Demonstrates basic understanding of the selling processes
Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
Able to lift, bend and carry
Experience using standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet applications
Ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays
Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
