Job Description

Specifics:

Department: Sales

Reports to: Division Management

Supervises: None

Purpose:

Manage and execute the sales activities for the Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) line of complete goods to traditional, new and emerging customer segments. Responsible for all sales metrics for a specific to the CCE segment.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Creates development plans to obtain Market Share metrics for CCE
  • Ensures sales metrics and goals are met for a CCE segment
  • Ensures that a consistent sales process is followed for their customer segment
  • Ensures the sales document process is established and followed by sales team members for their region or customer segment
  • Provides input to the Marketing team in the development of the CCE wholegoods marketing strategy for their customer segment
  • Works with other Sales Team Members to identify and execute best practices
  • Works with Corporate Service and Corporate Parts Managers to promote customer satisfaction
  • Manages budgets for a specific customer segment, in alignment with the organizations financial and operational objectives
  • Manages sales department equipment including vehicles and sales office equipment
  • May assist with creating the Sales Department business plan
  • May oversee used and new wholegoods inventory levels and metrics
  • May coach and train other sales professionals on CCE complete goods from time-to-time

Qualifications & Experience

Experience, Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 5+ years sales experience, preferably in construction equipment space
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to define and implement sales processes
  • Ability to use Deere sales computer applications and tools
  • Ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience, preferred
