Over the last 95 years our company has grown and Martin Tractor, Inc. has 13 locations across Central and Western Illinois. Martin Tractor has a unique culture, we feel we have a small-town feel with all the benefits of a larger corporation.

We are currently looking to add a new member to our Martin Tractor Inc. Sales team in Carthage, IL

What will a Sales Professional do?

  • Represent the company for the sale of large ag machinery to customers in a defined sales area
  • Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially sellable by the dealership

Other Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events and conducts new equipment field demonstrations
  • Monitors trends in customer's business activities and communicates to management
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
  • May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes
  • Assists customers with machine start up

Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 1+ years equipment sales experience
  • Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
