Job Summary

Leads the marketing and sales of the company’s newly patented soil nitrogen and nutrient technology product.  Defines, manages, and enhances product value proposition and brand in the market. Manages efforts to better understand, attract, and retain distribution partners and customers.  Responsible for development and achievement of product sales objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and deployment of a comprehensive go-to-market strategy and long-term plans which integrates the business’ values, mission, resources, and goals
  • Identifies, cultivates and procures new distribution partners and direct sales relationships with new and existing customers
  • Assumes ownership of the entire sales lifecycle including prospecting, qualifying, demonstrating, and closing sales.
  • Achieves asset turn goals and oversees appropriate inventory levels
  • Builds and maintains customer interactions, driving sales through solution selling, and engaging with key influencers and decision-makers 
  • Provides technical analysis, oversight, and direction as new products and services are tested, developed and implemented to ensure scalability 
  • Works directly with partners on product integration and communications support 
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with partners and keep them updated on current statuses
  • Other job duties as assigned

    Position Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in an agricultural or business discipline required
  • Broad understanding of agricultural production practices
  • Minimum 10+ years of outside sales experience
  • Proven ability to prioritize, balance, and self-manage multiple simultaneous projects and activities 
  • Analytical and data-driven, proficient in CRM tools, MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • High attention to detail, commitment to quality, results-driven, and customer-focused 
  • Understand and communicate technical challenges with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work directly with agronomic staff to explain soil moisture dynamics
  • Communicate business opportunities effectively with senior management and/or field specialists
