Reports to: Store Manager or Sales Manager
Supervises: None
Purpose:
Provides product expertise and support to dealership personnel and customers in selling residential and commercial mowing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Represents the Dealership in the sale of residential and commercial mowing equipment to customers in a defined sales area
- Creates, develops, and maintains customer accounts in the residential and commercial mowing segment
- Knows and follows a defined sales process
- Maintains product knowledge on residential and commercial mowing equipment and reports on competitive marketing and product activities
- Maintains and reports all residential and commercial mowing customer activities and trends in assigned territory to sales management
- Understands various financing options available on residential and commercial mowing equipment
- Coordinates with John Deere Landscapes branches in display and sale of commercial equipment
- Organizes product demonstrations and clinics for commercial mowing customers and participates in local trade shows and dealership promotional events
- Maintains dealership vehicle and other equipment as assigned
- May also be responsible for sales of other equipment and attachments
Qualifications
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- 1+ years equipment sales experience
- Knowledge of residential and commercial mowing products and landscape industry
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a group
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
