Basic Function:

The Corporate Rental Sales Manager is responsible for the efficient management of a team of professional rental sales representatives that drive the company rental, sales, goals, and metrics that achieve high performance for our employees and our customer base. The Corporate Rental Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the company objectives through effective sales leadership, talent acquisition and management, and driving a sales culture that increases awareness, participation, growth and professional development.


  • Prepare reasonable annual rental sales business plan for each team member that aligns with territory goals and objectives that align with annual company goals and objectives.
  • Recruit and build an aggressive rental sales team to achieve company goals and metrics.
  • Coach, mentor, and support our rental sales team to a high performing sales level.
  • Constantly improve professional development for the sales team.
  • Create and manage a rental sales territory plan that includes share and revenue growth year over year along with individual growth for our sales professionals.
  • Sees that authorized rental sales plans and programs are carried out by the sales department with respect to profit, volume, product mix, and coverage.
  • Insure availability of adequate staffing levels at all times. The sales department should be available to our customers Monday through Saturday.
  • Make yourself available for unconventional business hours.
  • Work with sales consultants in the field to develop maximum selling effort and make territorial changes as necessary.
  • Initiate necessary action to insure proper technical and service department support for the sales department and coordinate warranty expense program with service manager.
  • Participate, organize, and conduct training programs and sales meetings, or arrange for such activities to be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Coordinate all company trades and secure financing arrangements with regard to allowance on trade-ins, (with the Director of Sales, SVP & COO, and/or President) and ensure that the target profit goals are met.
  • Conduct evaluations for each sales professionals’ performance and planned goals. Provide guidance and direction to assist them in their professional development.
  • Maintain proper records, submit necessary reports, check customer credit status, and control expenditures along with other required administrative details.
  • Provide the sales force any necessary documents on reporting on daily activities, use of time more effectively and efficiently, and follow up procedures for potential customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a prompt and efficient manner to minimize customer inconvenience and maximize the company business image with the customer.
  • Provide effective sales presentations to support the dealership's sales goals.
  • Understand and support the company's sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers.
  • Stay current on technological changes in industry; understand equipment terminology and report competitive information to the V.P. Sales and President.

  • Associate’s degree in related field or 5+ years of equivalent job experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.


  • Minimum five years of sales experience required.
  • Professional sales management development and coaching


  • Valid Driver’s License - must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
