Job Description

This individual will provide administrative support in all areas of governmental business for RDO Equipment’s John Deere construction equipment group.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Assist in the preparation of governmental request for proposal (RFP’s) and annual price contracts.
  • Secure and maintain contract and/or bid documents along with other customer requirements.  
  • Gather and compile product, parts, and labor/installation pricing from manufacturer partners and internal departments.
  • Review requests for proposal to evaluate compatibility with specifications.
  • Support sales team by calculating contract pricing for customer quotes.
  • Update and maintain various resources/tools for the sales team. 
  • Monitor and distribute daily feed of new bid solicitations.
  • Maintain organized electronic and/or paper records of all work. 
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Experience working with computer/on-line systems; proficient in Microsoft Excel with an interest in learning more
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
