The Human Resource Recruiter provides full spectrum recruiting and on-boarding services for the company, helping to ensure the best candidates are put forward for each position and are then given the tools necessary for rapid success. The role works directly with the managers to provide an ongoing pipeline of candidates.


  • Identify new labor pools, traditional and non-traditional, assisting in the promotion of the Martin Sullivan brand by developing relationships at the high school and college levels, attending job fairs, FFA groups, speaking engagements, parent meetings, community network events, etc. Identify and attract quality candidates keeping current with leading edge recruitment ideas.
  • Promote and manage the co-op program to develop the pipeline of future candidates.
  • Promote and manage the scholarship programs.
  • Develop strategies for continuous recruiting in hard to fill positions and work closely with managers to forecast and understand their position needs.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to advertise job postings as needed utilizing geofencing, social media, employee referral program, paper ad, if appropriate, etc.
  • Verify current job descriptions annually and update as needed.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System and use it to prepare and post job advertisements, screen applicants, arrange and conduct interviews with managers, and participate in the selection process as requested by the Hiring Managers.
  • Ensure prompt and consistent communication with applicants and candidates and manage the candidate experience.
  • Facilitate the pre-employment drug and background screen process.
  • Prepare offer letters and initiate the required paperwork to begin the onboarding process.
  • Work closely and communicate with IT and HR Generalist to ensure a smooth start up for new employees.
  • Manage the new hire process of new employees using the HRIS onboarding software.
  • Conduct new hire orientation.
  • Manage the on-boarding training of new hires and follow up on their progress.
  • Conduct follow up 30- and 60-day interviews with new employees to ensure that they are fitting in and have the information that they need.
  • Track Recruiting and Selection Metrics to gain deeper understanding of the processes and continually improve them
  • May aid managers and employees regarding the interpretation and application of Employment Standards, company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research, gather data and statistical reports, research common practices and federal and state legislation.
  • Support the HR team in the roll out of new initiatives.
  • Support health and safety initiatives.
  • Keep current with common Human Resources practices and leading-edge ideas.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years' experience with recruitment preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and sustaining business relationships within the company and in the external environment.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) / PHR credential preferred.
  • A self-starter; high level of self-initiation.
  • Strong communicator in writing, presentations, and interpersonal communication.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to handle highly confidential information.
  • Experience with learning new software Knowledge of agriculture equipment industry is a plus, but not required.
