Brandt is currently seeking a Product Data Management Manager in Regina, SK. This position will be responsible for overseeing the Product Data Management (PDM) for all of Brandt Manufacturing facilities. This position is required to be located on-site at our Manufacturing facility in Regina.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage PDM Analyst(s) by providing daily direction, defining work processes, work instructions and validating accuracy and completeness of data.
- Identify growth and training opportunities for staff development
- Oversee the department’s performance management, budget, and compensation to ensure compliance.
- Responsible for processing all information released by engineering which includes Item Master Definitions, Engineering BOM’s, Routings, Engineering Change Information into the required Manufacturing information to support operations at all manufacturing plants.
- Maintain entire Item Master list including
- Item group, item type, make vs. buy, etc.
- Scrap factor based on Manufacturing recommendations
- Product Cost
- Maintain all BOM’s, including;
- Accuracy of routings
- Managing effectivity dates by plant
- Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing departments to ensure that manufacturing materials such as crates, consumables, etc. are incorporated into BOM’s
- Creation of manufacturing drawings, picklists, etc. for shipping and purchasing configurations
- Define Manufacturing BOM’s and Routings for each Manufacturing Plant based on the production schedule for each Manufacturing Plant.
- Verify BOM accuracy
- Implement Engineering Change Information on the appropriate Manufacturing Items and BOM’s in a timely manner and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all manufacturing information.
- Work with cost accounting to ensure accurate costs of BOM and Labor
- Develop, maintain, and document standardized routing processes and templates for standard production processes i.e. saw, press, shear, paint and others.
