Parts Counter Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, find out what product or service they require, satisfy the request or offer a solution; for non parts customers introduce them to an appropriate team member.
- Serve customers to purchase replacement parts and supplies required to properly maintain and service their agricultural and lawn and garden equipment.
- Record sales transactions and bin inventory records accurately.
- Assist clients in managing their parts expense through our several parts stocking programs and handling machine down requests in an urgent manner.
- Assist in merchandising the parts display area and keeping them organized.
- Ability to use IntelliDealer and Parts Lookup to service customers.
- Be familiar with all parts policies, forms and documents utilized in the parts department.
- Have the ability to build relationships with customers making them “A Customer for Life”.
- Provide applicable assistance Service and Sales administration processes.
- Responsible for assisting service technicians by looking up parts required to complete customer, internal or warranty repairs.
- Delivery of parts and supplies to designated supply points within our service department per the branch plan.
- When required process returned parts immediately.
- Receive in stock orders and daily orders putting away stock as required.
- Process pallets, envirocrates and other returns per branch plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of previous experience working a Dealership Parts Dept. preferred
- Strong customer relation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of parts systems, particularly computerized parts systems.
- Basic technical skills to help clients select the correct parts.
- Good computer skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Selling skills, especially selling all parts to complete the job.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and reach all shelves in the parts department.
