Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager
Purpose
Responsible for maintaining the image of store facilities, lot and grounds through routine maintenance. Performs any additional duties assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner all while adhering to safety rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain facilities image for customers and employees
- Stage equipment for customer clinics, open house, or other events
- Maintain grounds including lawn, equipment displays and parking lot
- Performs basic maintenance on company equipment such as, but not limited to, oil change, refueling, changing filters and mileage monitoring for depreciation
- Demonstrate a constant commitment to customer service
- Coordinates required repairs for items that cannot be completed in house
- Services, assembles and replaces things like light bulbs, filters, fixtures and displays
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
- Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
- Responsible for accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed
- May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Qualifications
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
- Work independently with little or no supervision, self-motivated
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for maintenance purposes
- Experience with basic computer functions
- Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
- Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
- Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
- Valid drivers license required; CDL (Commercial Drivers License) preferred
