Position Specifics

Department: Service

Reports to: Service Manager 

Purpose

Responsible for maintaining the image of store facilities, lot and grounds through routine maintenance. Performs any additional duties assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner all while adhering to safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain facilities image for customers and employees
  • Stage equipment for customer clinics, open house, or other events
  • Maintain grounds including lawn, equipment displays and parking lot
  • Performs basic maintenance on company equipment such as, but not limited to, oil change, refueling, changing filters and mileage monitoring for depreciation
  • Demonstrate a constant commitment to customer service
  • Coordinates required repairs for items that cannot be completed in house
  • Services, assembles and replaces things like light bulbs, filters, fixtures and displays
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
  • Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
  • Responsible for accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed
  • May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products




Qualifications

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge

  • Work independently with little or no supervision, self-motivated
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for maintenance purposes
  • Experience with basic computer functions
  • Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
  • Valid drivers license required; CDL (Commercial Drivers License) preferred
