Supports sales and service departments by profitability managing pickup and delivery of equipment. Centralized contact for scheduling all transportation requests received from Sales Managers, Service Managers and Service Advisors.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES 

Optimizes vehicle assets to improve routing and capacity, ensuring timely pickup and deliveries

Communicates accurate pickup/delivery dates and details with internal and external stakeholders

Responsible for the implementation and/or maintenance of logistical and recordkeeping systems.

Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost. Review and identify proper procedural and departmental efficiencies

Responsible for maintenance and repairs for all fleet equipment to include scheduling and partnering with lease vendors

Review daily and weekly reports to make certain all drivers in the area are operating safely and efficiently

Ensure the precise movement of all shipments and receivables on-time throughout our supply chain

Ensure safety and compliance with our standard operating procedures

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local transport and vehicle regulations, reporting and permitting processes

Responsible for driver staffing, compliance, coaching and employee development activities

Review driver hours and approve for payroll

Manages lifecycle of transport equipment, aids in determination of transportation needs and required capabilities within budget

Analyze data and reports for continuous improvement opportunities within the department

Continued professional development of coaching and change management to help lead an effective team

May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 

3+ year’s prior transportation/dispatch experience in a supervisory capacity

Understanding of delivery logistics and regulatory delivery practices

Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation and OSHA, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations laws and regulations

Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software

Experience working in a fast-paced team environment 

Knowledge of basic computer applications, Microsoft programs as well as scheduling applications

Basic machinery and vehicle capability knowledge

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS 

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering strongly preferred
