Job Description

TURF EQUIPMENT SALES SPECIALIST

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mutual business relationships with residential, commercial and governmental customers in an assigned geography consistent with their needs/wants and dealership margin potential. Accept primary responsibility for the new equipment market penetration at assigned dealership.
  •  Regularly and consistently call on all assigned accounts and maintain their profiles completely and accurately.
  • Coordinate the merchandising of new and used complete goods consistent with a clean and professional dealership image. Promote dealership accessibility by scheduling and working extended seasonal hours. Ensure a positive retail experience for all customers.
  •  Offer equipment solutions (new and pre-owned) including appropriate financing at pricing (margin) which covers three times (3X) base compensation.
  •  Thoroughly evaluate and accurately price all machines offered on trade. Assume personal and primary responsibility for the profitable resale of those machines.
  •  Promote Koenig Care (planned maintenance) during the selling process of eligible new equipment.
  •  Provide back-up for Ag Sales for in-store sales for new and used equipment, for non K/R customers. Pass on all new sales leads to Ag Sales of K/R customers.
  • Assist in annual budget planning and goals planning and implementation geared towards KEI metrics.
  • Attend learning sessions at dealership and external locations as required.
  • Assist in the planning, budgeting and expense control of the department.
  • Work with Lot Coordinator, assisting with the lot display and merchandising. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of applicable experience in a Dealership, or environment of a similar nature.
  • Strong customer relation and inter-personal skills, ability to communicate effectively and attention to detail.
  • A good working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies.  Strong time management skills.
  • Commitment and adhere to process, maintain standards and address issues in a timely, professional manner.
  • A good understanding of financial reporting principles relative to complete goods (new and used) operations.
