Job Description


Manages sales function for an assigned geographic region including the implementation of a defined sales process, coaching and developing sales professionals.  Responsible for all sales metrics for assigned region. 

Responsible for monitoring New & rental fleet Kleemann inventory both whole-goods and attachments, owned by Honnen Equipment Company.  Works with the Vice President of Used/Wirtgen/Manitowoc & Regional Service Managers to help implement processes aimed at making the sales and rental operations more efficient and profitable, while developing best practices that allow for significant cost savings to the company which will correlate to increased market share, superior financial results and enhanced Customer and employee loyalty. 


• Support, communicate & collaborate with Territory Managers and Wirtgen Specialists to assist in the execution of rental & sales goals. 

• Collaborate with Vice President Used/Wirtgen/Manitowoc to develop a regional business plan annually. 

• Manage, coach and develop the Kleeman Delivery Specialist by using direct observation to assess their current skills.  Conduct an annual performance review that includes implementation of a training strategy for the department and/or individuals.  

• Support and implement sales department accountability through the use of Key Performance Indicator management. 

• Conduct monthly one on one review with Kleemann Delivery Specialist per Honnen sales process.

• Assist Territory Managers & Wirtgen Specialist with new/existing business development of high value accounts. 

• Support and implement ongoing sales training efforts in the development of a High Performing Sales Team.  

• Support Territory Managers & Wirtgen Specialists in providing sales presentations, meeting with key customers to promote our product and maintain customer relationships.

• Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion using customer database, market share and market awareness; analyze those sales statistics to formulate policy and assist regions in promoting sales opportunities and target those with greatest potential for producing positive business results.

• Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

• Analyze and control sales expenditures of region by approving budgets, expenditures and appropriations for the organization.  

• Monitor and evaluate the activities, products and services of the competition.

• Assigned customer accounts/territory as directed



• Works with VP Used/Wirtgen/Manitowoc on inventory acquisition strategy, formulate ETC reports, provide analysis and recommendation for inventory quantity and location.

• Issue work orders to closest Honnen service location for rental returns, PDI’s and direct billing to customer or internal expenses.

• Company joint owner of DIT/Kleemann Rental Manager and manage DIT/Kleemann Rental Manager day to day technical issues.

• Involves daily communication with and between VP Used/Wirtgen/Manitowoc, sales administration, key branch service & parts employees, Kleemann key contacts, and all attachment vendor contacts.

• Manage /oversee periodic and annual inventory (whole-goods & attachments) audits.

• Responsible for developing a preferred vendor program that includes a consistent pricing strategy in Honnen’s AOR for attachments, wear parts, and transportation vendors.  

• Works with Director of Product Support and Customer Support Operations Manager to develop best practices for monitoring and maintaining HE rental fleet (WITOS).

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Ten (10) years of experience in sales, equipment sales preferred.


• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, self-motivations and communications skills required

• Computer and applications systems skills required

• Intermediate to proficient in Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint

• Well organized and has the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

• Team player


• Supervises Kleemann Delivery Specialist to ensure all Honnen rental damages and rental fleet expenses are being tracked, communicated and billed accordingly for all locations selling or renting Kleemann products.

• Supervises Wirtgen Group Specialists on Kleemann sales/rentals only.
