Job Description

The IT Security Internship is a role that requires a combination of technical expertise, critical thinking, and business-oriented project management. You will primarily work on advancing R.D. Offutt’s security initiatives by managing various information security technologies. This role provides dynamic projects in cutting edge technologies and the opportunity to work with our farm operations, dealerships and international partnerships and entities.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Assist in the administration of RDO’s security program
  • Monitor internal and external security vulnerabilities on RDO’s systems and route issues to system owners for remediation
  • Execute internal phishing campaigns and administer training courses
  • Track phishing campaign and awareness training results
  • Stay up to date on the latest IT Security news and announcements, including notable data breaches and vulnerabilities in software and hardware
  • Utilize source control tools according to team requirements
  • Work with team to accomplish solution development
  • Interact effectively with team members
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and training materials
  • Maintain confidentiality of company proprietary solutions and information
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Company/RDO Equipment Co.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience
  • Highly motivated for learning and understanding new technologies
  • Logical with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies
  • High School diploma or equivalency required
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent IT experience
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
