The Integrated Solutions Consultant ensures ongoing AMS (Agricultural Management Solutions) mainstreaming and works with all dealership departments to support precision farming products and services. Provide consulting services, expertise, and training for applications within MyJohnDeere.

You’ll focus on: 

  • Develop strong relationships with appropriate individuals in sales, parts and service departments for ticket escalation when needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with appropriate customer base.
  • Quickly and accurately document and communicate summaries of actionable recommendations.
  • Execute an understanding of the importance of John Deere precision agriculture in our customers operations.
  • Provide high level expertise in John Deere Operations Center software
  • Coordinates the execution of the dealership’s Machine Optimization, Logistics Optimization, and Ag Decision Support plans
  • Leads customer relationship with a technology focus.
  • Understands changes in customer’s operations or management personnel and helps the dealership prepare for future customer needs.
  • Partners with dealership specialists when needed in answering customer questions.
  • Be the company “expert” in leading precision farming practices.
  • Develop an ongoing “Needs Analysis” of the Company’s internal training and growth plans.
  • Organize customer demonstration and training activities to support technology sales.
  • Provide client education around how site-specific and/or precision management practices can provide economic returns to client operations.
  • Researches and evaluates new GIS and other technologies.
  • Delivers and communicates AI products and services to customers and presents to the customer with the assistance of the sales team.
  • Performs and/or facilitates teaching activities on the use of GPS related field and office software.
  • Serves as the key contact for hardware and software issues including providing troubleshooting assistance to the locations and farmers for the operation of precision ag software and hardware components.
  • Ensures that all data collected through the functions of the job are safely and securely transferred to the proper customer accounts.
  • Installs precision ag equipment such as VRT hardware, yield monitors, computers, and software at the locations, in the farmers’ fields, and in application equipment.
  • Monitor and grow Value Added Services (VAS) to profitably provide customers with optimization solutions for equipment and agronomic information.
  • Develops and executes the plan to ensure ongoing Precision Ag mainstreaming across all departments at the dealership.
  • Demonstrate the applications of geospatial technology, such as Global Positioning System (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), automatic tractor guidance systems, variable rate chemical input applicators, surveying equipment, or computer mapping software.
  • Advise farmers on upgrading their technology investment with a comprehensive plan.
  • Apply precision agriculture information to specifically reduce the negative environmental impacts of farming practices.
  • Create, layer, and analyze maps showing precision agricultural data, such as crop, yields, soil characteristics, input applications, terrain, drainage patterns, or field management history.
  • Program farm equipment, such as variable-rate planting equipment or fertilizer applicators, based on input from crop scouting and analysis of field condition variability.
  • Develop long term customer relationships through professional services and local data knowledge.
  • Leverage Operations Center and connected apps to review customer data.
  • Maintain accepted data management goals as set by management.
  • Abide by company data privacy policies.
  • Ensure and promote a steady increase in connected machines.
  • Implement the adoption of new technology and product offerings.
  • Develop and deliver employee and customer training for MyJohnDeere solutions and advanced precision farming products.
  • Provides solutions-based business consulting services to customers (i.e., advising customers on optimizing performance, provide precision guidance solutions, JDLink fleet monitoring and reporting, setup optimization, data validation etc.)
  • Support the dealership efforts with third-party providers (Certified Crop Advisor, Ag Service Provider, etc.) and related John Deere businesses
  • Promotes understanding across the dealership of the latest production practices and their overall agronomic impact, including crop production systems, regulations, production data layers and key attributes, etc.
  • Monitor incoming calls to the Support Center and quickly and accurately resolve common data, digital and embedded solution questions, and errors.
  • Perform remote diagnostics using Remote Display Access (RDA)
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources with commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • May work flexible hours, include some evenings and weekends.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience in an agriculture-related role
  • Dealership Service or Integrated Solutions or other related work experience preferred.
  • Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Technological aptitude
  • Experience meeting or exceeding customer service expectations
  • Experience Analyzing and interpreting data and reports.
  • Ability to operate with a solution approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be CCA Certified or willing to obtain within 12 months.
  • Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical and wireless communication systems
  • Ability to operate with a solution approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs.
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers.
  • Associates degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience required.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required
