Job Description

The Internet Sales Professional operates in all aspects of True North Equipment’s Ag, Turf, and CCE online sales business. Responds to and manages in a prompt fashion all leads generated from online sources. Position requires excellent communication skills including phone, electronic, and written methods. Strong emphasis on working with technology including Customer Relationship Management software and lead tracking tools.

You’ll focus on:   

  1. Connect with customers to sell new and used equipment within the guidelines set forth via phone, email, website, text, or social media
  2. Actively manage leads from beginning to close of the sale including the delivery or arranging of delivery
  3. Enthusiastically work with the rest of the True North team to supply requested information to customers including pictures, descriptions, service records, estimates, and history
  4. Supplies a world class customer experience throughout the sales process including deliver
  5. Properly identify where an existing True North customer / sales professional relationship already exists and ease a smooth and helpful transition for that customer to that sales professional
  6. Distribute incoming parts, service, or IS leads and inquiries to proper departments
  7. Respond to all customer inquiries promptly within the guidelines set forth between the Internet Sales Professional and the Director of Sales
  8. Manage all Internet and out of area leads through CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
  9. Complete all necessary paperwork timely to finish the process of the sale
  10. Complete payment transactions including financing
  11. Monitor avenues for expansion in our method of lead and sale creation 
  12. Works to maximize opportunities for all departments
  13. Develops a system of continuous contact with leads to create and grow an out of the area sales territory
  14. Develops a strong online brand and social media presence for themselves representing True North Equipment (Ex: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc…)
  15. Tracks won, lost, and no purchase scenarios with details via CRM 
  16. Grow and maintain equipment knowledge across the product portfolio including Ag, Turf, Small Tractor, Mid Tractor & Hay, and Compact Construction Equipment 
  17. Attend assigned training including online, in person, or out of the area where multi day travel is required
  18. Operates in a positive, fun, and friendly manner!

What we are looking for:

  1. Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred 
  2. Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  3. Excellent customer relationship skills
  4. Strong knowledge of electronic communication methods
  5. Strong knowledge of social media platforms
  6. Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  7. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  8. Must be able to maintain reliable attendance
  9. Must have a clean MVR and be able to drive company vehicles as necessary
