Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new customer relationships as well as retain and nurture established governmental customer partnerships in a positive manner to enhance customer confidence. Coordinate sales activities and collaborate to best serve the needs of the customer as well as monitor equipment transactions and assist Sales Management in day-to-day operations.   If you are a self-motivated, outgoing individual looking for the opportunity to spread your wings and put your talents to work, 4Rivers Equipment is looking for you.

Essential Duties

  • Attend to walk-in customers and sell the Company’s products and services.
  • Submit customer prospect profiles, daily call reports, quote sheets, lost sales reports, etc. on a weekly basis.
  • Assure all documents associated with sales of whole goods and attachments are properly completed.
  • Attend Company, store and community functions that will benefit yourself, fellow employees and the Dealership.
  • Insure that machines going out on a demonstration are clean and in “ready to go” condition.  Perform qualified field demonstrations as needed.
  • Insure that follow-up service is conducted per manufacturers’ and Dealership guidelines.
  • Keep current on product knowledge, features and benefits of specific machines, competitive activity and products, used equipment values for trading purposes, and factory finance plans available.
  • Professionally handle in-coming sales calls.
  • Maintain manuals, price lists and other documents.
  • Collect trade difference at the time of sale or at the time of delivery.
  • Make every effort to fill customer’s need for “out of stock” or “non-stock” and “short line” items.  Track and account for all whole good inventory on site.
  • Coordinate with local governmental agencies to assess and meet equipment needs.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver license and insurable driving record.  CDL may be required.
  • Experience with agricultural equipment.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional appearance, good language and social skills.

Working Conditions:  Requires inside and outside work maneuvering over and under agricultural equipment.  Able to move objects weighing up to 70 pounds.

Compensation package includes base salary plus competitive commission structure.
