Information Technology Supervisor


Oversees the IT department supporting areas in technology-related product/service selections, set-up, support, communications, and data protection in order to assist employees in efficiently completing work.  Assists in assuring that up-to-date, effective hardware and software applications are in place, operational and employees are properly trained in their use. 

Responsibilities and Qualifications


  • Assist with creating proposals for new technology platforms
  • Upgrade computers, servers and network hardware and software components, as required.
  • Oversee and ensure success of IT Service Desk and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction within the organization.
  • Developing and overseeing the installation of systems, which include software and hardware.
  • Assist with developing IT solutions to resolve process issues, as required.  Work closely with department leaders to extract, comprehend and proposes solutions to gaps identified.
  • Ensure all installations, maintenance, and upgrades are carried out on schedule and to specifications.
  • Provide mentoring to other members of the IT department.
  • Develop and implement user manuals and IT policies and procedures including safety and data recovery plans.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Assist with development and implementation of the cybersecurity and compliance roadmap and execute on team shared vision.
  • Provides IT support to employees in all locations by prioritizing, troubleshooting and resolving problems quickly
  • Assists with maintaining administration of all user IDs and passwords, and grants clearance to systems and applications when approved to do so
  • Assist in analyzing existing computer systems and making recommendations for upgrades and improvements and facilitating the purchase of new technology solutions including computers, servers, cell phones, software, etc.
  • Assists/recommends and reports on policies to allow for the most cost-effective use of existing solutions
  • Maintains knowledge of current technology and stays abreast of new technological advancements in order to provide cost effective solutions for the company
  • Assists in safeguarding dealership technology systems through items such as acceptable use, password, and network access policies and monitoring
  • Assists in safeguarding data by facilitating timely back-ups and processing
  • Travel to locations  to transport equipment, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment, and provide training
  • Assist training events by supporting IT requirements
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and evaluating staff members.
  • Ensures compliance to allocated budget.
  • May be required to work weekends and non-“normal” business hours
  • Other related responsibilities as may be required
  • Familiarity with specific technologies include Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10, Server 2003, 2008 and 2012R2, Office 2010 and 2016. IPhone/iPads, Cisco-Meraki Cloud Networking and Wireless technologies, Citrix XenApp 7.6, G Suite for Business (Google). ShoreTel Phone systems.


  • Four (4) years’ of experience in an information technology support role and a minimum of two (2) years' experience managing and leading technology services operations staff, including the building of high performance technical teams, training, evaluating, coaching and mentoring.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Strong communication skills with ability to train others on technology solutions
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Experience with routers, servers, and network technology desired
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Process development and implementation experience is desired.
  • Must be physically able to perform minor lifting of equipment, climbing or crawling to install equipment and run cables and occasionally long periods of time sitting at a workstation
  • Must be willing to travel to company locations
  • Ability to lift various computer and printing equipment
  • Ability to perform basic wiring tasks using Cat5 and Cat6 cabling
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products desired
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
