Industrial Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented industrial engineer to evaluate our new product designs to then design and implement safe, sustainable and efficient production processes that meet the established product specifications and quality standards.

Job Duties:

  • Work with product and manufacturing engineers to improve the manufacturability of the product.
  • Review product specifications to develop production processes and methods that maximize efficiency and minimize waste in a safe, sustainable way.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.
  • Design systems that identify weak points to then reduce process variability.
  • Developing and design production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
  • Design line layouts and determine personnel requirements.
  • Train staff or develop training programs for new processes.
  • Manage process documentation and prepare production reports.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in industrial engineering, related field required, or relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in mixed model manufacturing (Toyota Production System experience highly desired).
  • Experience in designing assembly lines and systems that are both flexible and agile.
  • Experience in weak point management, error proofing, calculation of standard work, line balancing.
  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in a high-volume metal fabrication environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Documentation and organization skills.
  • The drive and desire to make tomorrow better than today in an ambitious, yet welcoming work environment.
  • The ability to collaborate with other creative individuals.
