' Job Title: HR Administrator 

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Department: Admin, (10), NonExempt

Location:  Riverview


Summary of Primary Functions

The HR Administrator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.


Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Maintains accurate and uptodate human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Create offer letters, job descriptions and job postings.
  • Perform background/drug screening for candidates.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate seniorlevel HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • May assist with payroll functions.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organizationwide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Performs HR projects as assigned.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • Administrative Support experience
  • Human Resource experience
  • Customer Service experience

Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:


  • Associates degree in related field or 2+ years’ experience in administrative support experience of an increasingly responsible nature with general business knowledge and the ability to work with critical and confidential information is required. 
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information.
  • ADP experience is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual is preferred but not required.
  • Organization and communication skills must be highly developed.  
  • Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint need to be good and broad based and strong customer service skills need to be apparent.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

The employee may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
