We are in need of certified Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics. Working independently, you perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. You work both in-field and in-shop requiring very little direction. As a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Journeyperson, you share your knowledge by mentoring others.
Qualifications of Heavy Duty Mechanic:
- Completion of a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice.
- Expert knowledge of John Deere agriculture equipment a very strong asset; Certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs
- Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment
- Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and Turf equipment
- Computer skills required; Service Advisor an asset
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly and work seasonal extended hours and on weekends
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license required; forklift license preferred
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
