Job Description

Provides agronomic solutions and support for the sale and use of John Deere Agriculture Management Solutions (AMS) equipment.  Works with all dealership departments to sell and support precision farming products to producers in their trade area. 

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently optimize customers machines for their production needs
  • Develops and delivers employee and customer training for AMS products on a regular basis
  • Serves as the internal and external dealership technical specialist relative to the entire AMS product line
  • Answers incoming phone calls and providing follow up calls
  • Support sales, service, and parts departments to find a solution for a customer’s operation
  • May also support the dealership efforts with third-party providers (Certified Crop Advisor, Ag Service Provider, etc.) and related John Deere businesses
  • Implements the adoption and introduction of new technology and product offerings
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations Sell precision ag products that will help enhance a customer’s operation
  • Assist customers in accurate data management

Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience in an agriculture-related role preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical and wireless communication systems
  • Knowledge of database software and computer application systems
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a group
  • Associates degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers
  • Ability to lift 50 – 60 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift 75 – 100 pounds on a regular basis
  • Candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, squat and reach on a frequent basis
  • Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR record
  • Candidate must become forklift certified within 30 days of employment
