Job Summary
Van Wall Equipment is looking for a Forklift Technician to perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on customer or dealer-owned forklifts, as well as any other material handling equipment. The candidate should have the expertise to use the appropriate tools to successfully diagnose and repair a variety of makes and models of forklifts. Additional job responsibilities below:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Make repair recommendations and quotes for customersAccurately create parts lists required for repairsWork with the service and parts departments to ensure parts are ordered in a timely mannerPerform necessary repairs as requested by the customersEffective internal and external communication to ensure work has met customers’ expectationsKeep clear and up to date documentation of each job completedRepresent the dealership as a professional technician at all times
Position Qualifications
2+ years of experience performing service repairs within the automotive or material handling industryKnowledge of IC and electric forklifts, hydraulic systems, electrical, fuel systems, and charging systems a plusMust have own set of tools Excellent communication and documentation skills requiredValid driver’s license and good driving record requiredAbility to lift 75 lbs
