Job Description


Pick up and deliver lawn and garden equipment to residential/commercial customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Secure equipment utilizing the cargo securement regulation and commercial vehicle laws set forth by the Department of Transportation.
  • Properly load and unload all equipment that is being transported.
  • Always maintain vehicle safety and follow company driving policy guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle and maintenance accordingly.
  • Report immediately any damages or concerns of equipment or vehicles.
  • Verify paperwork corresponds with the load you are hauling (i.e., model/serial number, etc.)
  • Acquire necessary signature and additional information to complete paperwork.
  • Turn in paperwork when delivery/pickup is completed.
  • Utilize the GPS/Internet mapping technology supplied by the company to map out the most efficient routes.
  • Maintain current all required certifications (i.e, forklift, medical card, driver’s license, logs, permits, etc.)
  • Explain equipment operation at the request of the customer.
  • Green customers and thank them for their business.
  • Follow company processes to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Performs additional duties not specifically listed or assigned.


  • High School Diploma and a minimum of one (1) year’s driving experience, loading and unloading equipment.
  • General knowledge of the operational functions of lawn & garden equipment.
  • Ability to follow directions and processes while providing a high level of customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive teamwork environment.
  • Ability to maintain composure in varying customer situations.
  • Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
  • Demonstrated time management skills; ability to prioritize and organize.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, grip, reach and climb.
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures.
  • Ability to independently operate equipment.
