Job Description

The Enterprise Infrastructure Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the R. D. Offutt Company global Infrastructure and UC communications. This includes managing the Administrators responsible for RDO’s Infrastructure assets and their development. The position will work with other IT departments and company entities in order to support their needs, and the current infrastructure, developing and deploying cost-effective, productivity-enhancing solutions for all aspects of the organization. This candidate must have extensive familiarity with server and network infrastructure solutions.

The Enterprise Infrastructure Manager will create change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.  Reinforces team approach for all projects and internal initiatives.  Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organization. Ensures periodic and regular team events take place away from the office. Communicates effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies. Continually defines ways to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships while maintaining lasting internal client relationships.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Oversees and maintains the global data centers, network topology, telephony solutions, wireless networks, and more
  • Ensures appropriate IT utilities, software, hardware, and other technologies are being used to streamline internal operations, are best optimized for performance, and are increasing company productivity
  • Provisions technological equipment, services, and software in adherence with corporate purchasing guidelines
  • Manage data protection, backup, replication, and recovery procedures for all systems and solutions
  • Establish best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the network infrastructure
  • Have extensive experience in design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large, complex IP-based networks
  • Provide business technology continuity and disaster solutions for the business-critical systems
  • Define, develop, and track related metrics consistent within SLAs
  • Determines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Infrastructure team
  • Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to make certain infrastructure technologies meet existing and future requirements
  • Develop and deploy methodologies for testing infrastructure performance and providing resulting performances statistics and reports
  • Maintain and develop required diagrams, documentation, and procedures to ensure continuous operation of supported infrastructure systems
  • Maintains and grows partnerships with IT vendors and providers

  • Other duties as assigned by the manager

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an area of specialty or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of Enterprise level, IT Infrastructure/Network experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in a management or supervisory role involving team leadership with infrastructure and/or network teams
  • Microsoft Windows Server OS
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • High Availability/ Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity
  • Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle Database – preferred
  • Cisco Switching
  • Microsoft SCCM – preferred
  • Aruba Wireless – preferred
  • Azure Cloud Computing – preferred
