 Position Specifics:

Department:       Service

Reports to:         Service Manager or Service Writer

Purpose:

Operates vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership and helps with utility work such as setups, service work, and building maintenance.   May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pickup new equipment from a John Deere factory
2. Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed
3. Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
4. Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy
5. Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties
6. May need to maintain assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition
7. May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required
8. May service equipment and do setups
9. May assist in building maintenance
10. Regular attendance and timeliness are essential to this position

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

1. Experience in loading/unloading equipment on trailers and operation of trucks
2. CDL License or ability to secure
3. Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly
4. High School diploma or equivalent experience
