Job Description

Department: Corporate

Reports to: President

Purpose:

Oversight of credit, a/r, and approval process. Process accounts receivable activities, which includes maintaining customer accounts, reconciling account receivable general ledger accounts, and processing customer statements on behalf of all dealership locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and set the overall dealership’s credit policies.
  • Work with Banks and other financial institutions to facilitate Customer purchases.
  • Answers and resolves questions regarding customer accounts
  • Reconciles accounts receivable general ledger accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective action
  • Monitors aged accounts and supports with collection processes
  • Assesses and provides notification of compliance issues with the dealership’s credit policies
  • Prepares various accounting reports such as aged accounts receivable
  • Prepares, mails/e-mails, and reconciles customer statements
  • Assists other co-workers with related tasks as necessary

Requirements:

  • 5 years of Credit/Banking experience
  • Bachelors Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred Understands accounting fundamentals
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel and internet functions
  • Ability to use the dealers business system and other programs specific to the position
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
