Job Description

Purpose:

Develop incremental rental revenue in LA, Orange, Ventura and Kern counties in Southern California with low volume or no volume, large potential rental prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Target new rental customers in Southern California
  • Develop business relationships with new accounts not familiar with Coastline Equipment Co.
  • Daily office and jobsite visits to promote rental solutions provided by Coastline Equipment Co.
  • Work in partnership with Southern California rental dispatchers in Long Beach, Oxnard & Bakersfield CA to facilitate new revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and work a Target list of prospect accounts
  • Open new rental accounts with large prospect contractors
  • Obtain critical jobsite and customer information to assist dispatch with logistical success
  • Log Calls in company CRM system daily/weekly
  • Assist with A/R when requested by management
  • Facilitate relationship development within local Coastline branches with new accounts
  • Share equipment sales leads with local sales managers
  • Maintain high level of equipment knowledge obtained through JDU and Info to Go
  • Visually inspect/report on active rental assets in the field monthly
  • Communicate with Sr. Management monthly to review activity and rental results

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of high performance, heavy equipment rental outside sales experience
  • Knowledge of Deere/Hitachi and competitive equipment models
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Outlook and general computer software
  • Team Player with high levels of integrity and great communication skills
  • Can do attitude
