Description

Manages the sales activities for identified multi-unit accounts. Provides sales support to Sales Consultants on non-dedicated large multi-unit accounts.



Essential Functions:

  1. Primary job focus: Proactive account management sales for corporate buyers in R&S area of responsibility (AOR).
  2. Identifies established and potential corporate accounts in the R&S AOR to provide a differentiated customer sales experience.
  3. Clarifies, validates, and communicates key customer account needs on an ongoing basis to meet customer satisfaction.
  4. Engages with dealership personnel (Integrated Solutions Department, Product Specialist, Parts, Service, etc.) when needed in completing a sale, answering customer account questions and ensuring customer account needs are met.
  5. Maintains and communicates current knowledge of customer account operational requirements.
  6. Manages relevant customer account information such as equipment and operational information in the customer relationship management system.
  7. Maintains current knowledge of financing and risk management options to assist customer accounts with securing the purchase of a solution.
  8. Monitors and timely communicates any competitive activity to management.
  9. Maintains current product knowledge of all equipment, parts, and services available to customer accounts.
  10. Conduct new equipment and technology field demonstrations.
  11. Works with Remarketing Manager and New Inventory Manager to influence customer account trade cycles based on market conditions.
  12. Secondary job focus: supporting R&S equipment consultants with sales activity of smaller-multi unit accounts.
  13. Develops a plan for potential multi-unit accounts with Regional Sales Manager and Sales Consultant.
  14. Works directly with John Deere Territory Business Manager.
  15. Actively participates in local/regional industry associations.
  16. Network with other large John Deere dealers for best practices.
  17. Incorporate John Deere sales and precision ag goals into deals.
  18. Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
  19. Present a positive, professional image in dress and conduct at all times.
  20. Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment.
  21. All other job duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years sales experience.
  2. Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
  3. Associates or Bachelors Degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience.
  4. Ability to define and implement sales processes.
  5. Ability to use Deere sales computer applications and tools.
  6. Ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  7. Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  8. Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
  9. Must have a valid drivers license and insurable driving history.
