Purpose:
Receives incoming calls regarding parts inquiries, also promotes and sells products and/or services over the phone to meet customer needs. In addition provides remote parts support for Service Technicians, assists with Parts reporting analysis and specialized marketing efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes and sells products and/or services over the phone to meet customer needs
- Relays customer messages to the onsite staff through the use of the call log system
- Assists Technicians with identifying and ordering parts for repair orders
- Verifies the completion of customer orders and provides status updates as needed
- Assists in keeping the call center clean and orderly
- Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the Onsite staff and Corporate Parts Manager
- Provides administrative support to the Corporate Parts manager in regards to parts trend analysis, reporting and similar tasks as needed
- Assists in external marketing efforts by making outbound calls, texting, and sending email notifications to customers
- May assist in after-hours emergency parts support for both internal and external customers
- May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of experience working at a Valley Truck and Tractor parts counter or higher position
- Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
- Basic parts, agriculture industry and machinery knowledge
- Ability to multi-task several high priority items simultaneously
- Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application
- Ability to work in a team environment
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Multi lingual skills preferred
