Atlantic Tractor, recently certified as a Great Place to Work by the Great Place to Work Institute, is looking for a Compact Tractor / Small Construction Equipment Sales Representative to join the Sales department at its store in Whiteford, Maryland.

  • Responsible for the selling, renting and leasing of all new and used compact equipment and attachments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers to enhance potential to sell, rent and lease new and used equipment, parts and services.
  • Participate in trade expos and farm shows to increase customer contact.
  • Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and sales promotions.
  • Formulate quotes and negotiate prices and credit terms based on customer needs.
  • Maintain and submit competitive information and pricing as required.
  • Submit lost sale as well as won sale information as necessary.
  • Provide goals and objectives status reports to sales manager.
  • Maintain up-to-date call logs, prospect lists and mileage information.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of three years in the construction equipment distribution field preferred.
  • Knowledge of compact equipment including, Skid Steer Loaders, Compact 4WD Loaders, Trailers, Compact Track Loaders, Landscape Loaders, Attachments, Mini Excavators and Compaction Equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally as appropriate for the needs of customers and coworkers.
  • Excellent Customer Relationship Skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
