Five Star Equipment has an exciting opportunity for a BRANCH OPERATIONS MANAGER for our busy Rochester, NY location. We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced professional to join our team. Working under the guidance of the General Manager, the Branch Operations Manager is responsible for all operational matters of the branch (sales, service, parts and administration), increasing market share, managing financial performance of the branch and ensuring that customer needs are met.
Responsibility:
- Responsible for all matters of the branch and for financial and market performance of their branch.
- Works closely with the Branch General Manager in implementing the business plan to achieve branch and corporate goals.
- Works closely with personnel to establish and maintain profitable benchmarks for the branch.
- Oversees branch maintenance, repairs and upkeep of all assets, property improvements, vehicles, equipment, etc.
- Partners with Branch Manager on marketing, sales, finances, personnel, training, profitability, set the standard for conduct and safety.
- With the support of departmental managers, will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the branch including all personnel issues, recruiting, hiring, training, terminations or performance improvement needs. Shall seek assistance from Corporate Human Resources on matters of significance when potential compliance or legal related issue should arise.
- Contact for escalated customer service complaints. Resolve issues involving the branch quickly to preserve the brand.
- Knowledgeable of all branch activity; proactively anticipates or identifies issues and implements constructive solutions.
- Abide by Companys established administrative and procedural standards while performing duties at branch.
- Promote a safe branch culture. Ensure management supports wearing all personal protective equipment.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment. Correct instances of unsafe behavior & practices and carelessness.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of corporate strategies, policies, and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- 5-10 years experience as foreman or supervisor leading and motivating small teams in heavy equipment, construction, etc.
- Understands constraints facing his/her branch employees such as time, work conditions, physical demands, etc.
- Ability to use software applications such as the CDK business system, Microsoft Office and Internet functions.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as well as work in various demanding environmental conditions.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills. Can equitably solve problems whether conceptual or concrete in nature.
