Department: Business Development

Reports to: Store Manager/Business Development Manager

Supervises: None

Purpose:

Key position that touches Business Development, Data Management, Marketing and plays a key role ensuring a positive grower experience.  Position is key in supporting locations with innovative ways to collect, manage, and analyze agronomics and machine utilization optimization.   Create effective ways to deliver collected data to growers that will help them make informed decisions that reduce risk, increase opportunities, maximize profitability, ensure sustainability and help growers meet there goals.  Supporting key relationships both within AgriVision Equipment and with growers we support will be key to success.  

Responsibilities:

  • Manages key information and analyzes to build data-based analytics.
  • Work directly with growers to help manage the setup prior to growing season to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and growers are comfortable with the technology operationally.
  • Track machine utilization utilizing JD Link and Operations Center to evaluate optimization.
  • Gathers and inputs key grower information into analyzation tools to help evaluate profitability.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, involved in budgetary and personnel requirements; implements changes.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in the transfer of agronomic data from multiple displays into GIS platforms such as SMS Advanced, Operation Center, Slingshot, Premier Crop and others.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 2-3 years of successful experience working in a highly-responsible administrative, accounting or sales support position.
  • Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extremely organized, sensitive to deadlines and accessible based on business needs.
  • Must be driven to achieve results, highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, in a high performance, fast paced environment without compromising quality.
  • Exceptional computer skills including MS Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Ag Data Management Software.
