Ag Sales & Customer Support Development Program:

Through our program, you will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in multiple areas while working with industry experts and professional teams. Our development program provides essential experiences, specialized training, volunteer opportunities, and ongoing development to build the skills, capabilities, and network to establish a foundation for success within our organization and the industry. Through experiences in Sales or Customer and Product Support, as well as exposure to our product lines, divisions, suppliers, and customers, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a challenging environment while driving business results. After successfully completing the program, common full-time positions include Sale Consultant, Customer Support Representative, Precision Technologies, and Department Manager.

Length of Program: 24 months
Areas of Focus: Tactical Marketing, Product Support, Customer Support, Shared Services, Finance, Process Improvements, Inventory Management, and Sales
Location: American Falls, ID
Requirements: Commitment to potentially relocate after the program, travel, highly self-motivated, employee and customer service oriented, resilience to adaptability, positive attitude and desire to learn and grow in the program and beyond

Job Requirements

What It Takes

  • High integrity, loyal, team player, excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Organized, ability to multi-task effectively, operate under stress
  • Highly motivated
  • Process paperwork timely and accurately
  • Must be flexible, long hours including Saturdays may be required to maximize sales and achieve/surpass annual sales goals
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel on occasion as needed for training and company meetings

A strong candidate will also have

  • Computer skills
  • Experience in the Agriculture Industry
  • Comfortable with mechanical issues
  • 1+ years of sales experience
  • Understanding of John Deere (or equivalent) equipment, vehicles, and implements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
