We are currently looking to add a Ag Equipment Service Manager to Martin Tractor, Inc. team in Bradford, IL.

What will a Service Manager do?

  • Manage expenses.
  • Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction; coaches and advises employees as needed.
  • Assist in creating annual service department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives.
  • Assist in developing and executing service department marketing plans and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals.

Other Essential Functions:

  • Submit all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit.
  • Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees in the service department according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Schedule the semi for internal and external pickup and deliveries.
  • Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing.
  • Participates in departmental and location meetings, and conduct business that aligns with the company's values and mission statement.
  • Review customer service satisfaction surveys, conduct farm visits and take appropriate action when needed.
  • Perform annual performance review and provides input for compensation increases.
  • Ensure growth opportunity for competent employees and utilize training and service paths.
  • Advocate and Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards to provide a safe and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and implement processes to improve workflow and communication between departments (service, parts, sales, IS); to facilitate teamwork.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 3+ years' experience in a service department, basic and understanding of financial principles relative to service department operations.
  • Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership, and interpersonal relationship building.
  • Excellent customer service, and time management skills
  • Analytical thinking: ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  • Exemplary administrative, managerial skills, and able to work without supervision.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends and have consistent attendance.
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products, and comparable software systems.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk along with climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, bending, leaning, and twisting, driving.
  • Able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
  • Most duties performed in climate-controlled office environment but may be exposed to adverse weather conditions when traveling or in the service area.
