JOB TITLE: Aftermarket Outside Sales Representative


REPORTS TO: Parts Manager

At Sinclair Tractor, we pride ourselves on being the destination in Southeast Iowa for agricultural equipment, precision farming, agronomic decision support, NAPA parts and computers. With thirteen John Deere dealerships, five NAPA parts locations and a computer service location, we are looking for motivated and talented people to join our team.


SINCLAIR TRACTOR is seeking an energetic, driven and professional individual to join the Sigourney, IA office location as Aftermarket Outside Sales Representative, with the primary responsibility of supporting and servicing exisiting outsdie sales accounts, while cultivating new business.

As a member of our team, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to provide service and support to your customers and teammates as needed, which may include coordinating with other departments. The desired candidate has a background in agriculture and is passionate about growth, innovation and collaboration.   1. Sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
  2. Advise or assist customers in such areas as inventory selection
  3. Take parts orders, introduce new products and promotions, reemphasize existing products and provide literature as necessary.
  4. Set/Achieve Outside Sales Goals
  5. Loads and unload sales delivery vehicle
  6. Participates in all job-related training and development
  7. Maintains condition of department vehicles and inventory

Experience and Skills:


Education and Experience:

  • At least 1 year experience in Automotive Parts is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Knowledge of NAPA or automotive competitive parts and equipment
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic Parts Department reports.
  • Must maintain a valid and insurable driver’s license

Interpersonal, Management and Leadership:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to Multi-Task

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Bending and lifting at least 75 pounds

Travel Requirements:

Minimal as needed
