C & B Operations has an opening for an Accounting Clerk. The individual in this position may live near any of our company locations. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in accounting and finance and advanced computer skills. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk position is accounts payable. Duties would include entering invoices, verifying approval of invoices, reconciling statements, preparing payable payments, AR and ME statements, posting customer and Farm Plan payments, utilizing Square 9 for day to day functions of paperless accounts payable and other tasks as assigned. Essential Duties:

  • Enter vendor invoices, verify approval of invoices, reconcile statements, and prepare vendor payments
  • Prepare and distribute daily sales to all locations
  • Reconcile end of day reporting from each location and record necessary journal entries
  • Support monthly closings by analyzing general ledger accounts and preparing monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare reports and completing miscellaneous accounting projects as assigned
  • Provide miscellaneous administrative support as assigned
  • Maintain vendor files, including obtaining W-9 forms, new vendor request forms and 1099’s
  • Organize the mail and reporting from the various locations
  • Customer statements
  • Farm Plan settlements
  • Posting customer payments
  • Daily updates and maintenance to Square 9
  • Phone support
  • Processing mail in and out
