Accounting Clerk in Fuquay-Varina, NC at Quality Equipment

PURPOSE

Responsible for processing Stihl, Honda, Ag, Turf, and Compact Construction Equipment warranty credit postings, along with, monthly reconciliations to maximize efficiency and return on warranty claims for all locations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Processes warranty credit postings for Stihl, Honda, Ag, Turf, and Compact Construction Equipment product lines

•    Works with Parts and  Service Managers to ensure that all John Deere Statements postings are correct

•    Monitors all warranty and associated clearing accounts for inaccurate entries. Works with appropriate branch on correcting inaccurate entries.

•    Receipts John Deere and miscellaneous parts invoices and credits

•    Processes monthly billing for the transportation department.

•    Acts as an ambassador for the dealership and protects the positive dealership image when interacting with vendors regarding claim issues

•    Always conducts self as to present a professional image of the dealership.

•      Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership

•    Acts as a backup for the Branch Admins. 

QUALIFICATIONS

•    2+ years’ experience in Service Department operations preferred

•    Understands the service software in the dealer business system and Deere Warranty system

•    Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions

•    Accounting experience preferred along with working knowledge of GL account entries

•    Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups

•    Ability to create, analyze and interpret reports with attention to details in a fast paced environment

•    High School Diploma or GED equivalent

•       Noise Levels: Medium to High.

•       Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.

•       Mobility: Squatting, bending, climbing, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, sitting and repetitive keyboarding for long durations of time.

•       Visual: Working with PC, online content, manuals and close detailed work    

•       Work Environment: Exposure to extreme weather, fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts

•       Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate tools, equipment and machines.
