Atlantic Tractor, recently certified as a Great Place to Work by the Great Place to Work Institute, is looking for an Accounting Clerk  to join the Accounting department at its store in Salisbury, Maryland.

  • Process daily settlements of equipment purchases, customer contracts, customer payoffs and financing equipment trades.
  • Add new equipment pieces into inventory as well as post cost in company computer software.
  • Serve as backup for sales invoicing for all company locations.
  • Assist accounting team with daily tasks as needed. Tasks may include but are not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable processing, account reconciliations, general ledger posting, organization filing and scanning of accounting documents.
  • Potential for additional accounting/clerical duties to be assigned as needed.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience plus an Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of proper accounting terms, procedures, classifications and codes.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Team-player
  • Background in collections (focus on government collections) desired.
